Red Box are delighted to announce the recently completed purchase of Amadeus Associates from its founder and owner, Tony Burholt and that Red Box have now established productive working partnerships with his clients.
In December 2015, Tony posted an article on LinkedIn inviting experienced catering consultants to contact him if they were interested in working alongside him for a few months, with a view to taking over his business.
Neil Meadows and Kayte Sexton, directors and owners at Red Box, thought this sounded like an excellent opportunity to develop their company further and so contacted Tony. They quickly discovered that the two consultancies had a similar profile of clients, who include many schools - state maintained, academies, multi academy trusts and independent school foundations – which use a variety of catering contractors, and indeed several schools also operate their catering services in-house.
Over the coming months, as meetings and discussions progressed, both parties also recognised that, most importantly, they also shared common values and their approach to providing impartial and expert advice and support.
Once Tony had introduced Neil and Kayte to his clients, and had gained their approval for the transfer of the consultancy service, the purchase of Amadeus Associates was a natural next step.
This meant that Tony has now been able to enjoy a well-earned retirement, confident that his clients are in professional hands. He says “I am delighted that I have been able to pass my highly-valued clients on to Red Box, in the knowledge that Neil, Kayte and their colleague, Tom Hoare will provide a continuing service of expert and proactive advice and support, to ensure that the value of their catering operations is maximised.”
