The first in our exciting new series of restaurant reviews!
We visited Deano's Graze & Grill in Harrogate last night, for dinner with a long-standing client. We've been many times before with our families and for work, including for a Red Box Christmas party. On previous occasions there has always been a buzz, food has been consistently excellent and, unlike at so many other places, service has been faultless.
Luckily lastnight did not disappoint and, despite it being a dismal Monday night in January, there were quite a few other diners already there when we arrived. We were served by a friendly team, who explained their off-beat approach of Yorkshire tapas to our client and were efficient throughout.
All the food was fantastic - a good range but not an overwhelming one, imaginative flavours, just the right-sized portions and all perfectly cooked and seasoned. Perhaps the only query was whether the chips were quite cooked enough but that could be classed as nit-picking!
The drinks range was equally imaginative, without being pretentious and included some local beers. Service of these too was with a smile.
The final mention should go to the puddings, which were just as delicious as always and one was even beautifully presented in a Farrah's Harrogate Toffee tin!
